BIBLICAL PREDICTION
The Iran War and Great Devastation in Jerusalem
Daniel 8 describes western powers (“Javan”) with a notable horn (U.S.) confronting Persia – modern Iran. Within the prophetic framework of Daniel and Revelation, this confrontation marks the initiation of end-time events.
Scripture also speaks of a simultaneous shaking in Jerusalem — an event so significant that daily worship would be interrupted for years until restoration is granted.
In Insights in Prophecy (2012), I wrote that the appointed time connected to both the war and Jerusalem disaster would align with the Purim and Shushan Purim period. The Iran war started on the weekend that ushered in annual Purim celebration.
As The Kingdom Calendar shows, this year’s Jerusalem disaster watch period falls on March 3–4, 2026.
As conflict now unfolds between the West and Iran, we are watching carefully. Within the next several days it will become clear whether current events correspond to the prophetic structure outlined in Scripture. We do not watch to force headlines into prophecy. We watch because Scripture assigns meaning to appointed times of the end.
Normally, synagogues, city streets, and the Western Wall are teeming with worshipers and celebrates. But, for the first time since 1948, Israelis will not be celebrating Purim/Shushan Purim in the public arena. Instead they are staying close to their safe rooms and shelters due to the Iranian threat. This year, the Kotel is desolate.
Isaiah wrote:
“Go, My people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until His wrath has passed by…”
— Isaiah 26:20–21
If this is that moment, the Scriptures will stand vindicated.
If not, we continue watching — because the prophecies and appointed times remain.
