Is Donald Trump's Rise to Power Foretold in Bible Prophecy?

Donald Trump's principles are commendable: to protect the unborn and reduce the wholesale slaughter of babies, to show American strength on the international stage, to support the nation of Israel, to fix or nix the Iran deal and to support the traditional values America was founded on. However, Trump's presidency--he who will "rule with great power and do as he pleases"--is identified in Bible prophecy as one of the last of American superpower status. The predictions of Daniel 8:1-8 and Daniel 11:3-4 to confront the modern-day Persians will be fulfilled, with the quick defeat and overthrow the Iranians. However, shortly after America will be crushed as the global superpower, when a nuclear charged World War 3 kills millions and forever changes the power structures of the world.

Trump may well fulfill this role. First, to be the last American President who stands solidly and unapologetically with Israel; second, to promote the principles of law and order, the sanctity of life, religious liberties and traditional vales, offering Americans an alternative to the ongoing demise of morality the nation has experienced over the last 60 years; and third, to confront Iran's bad behavior and constant threats to Israel's destruction. Trump may be America's last chance to set a new course toward redeemable values, and to bring God's moral standards back into the mainstream. Yet, the U.S. seems destined to the ultimate outcome of decades rejecting God--America's final demise as the world's superpower. This fall and punishment is as much on the religious as it is on secular leadership, as compromise and passivity has grown in American Christianity and Judaism over the decades leading to moral corruption and decline.

The West has endured 30 years of political turmoil since the 1979 hostage crisis, but no major conflict with the Persians. However, Iran's sudden aggression and lashing out is foretold in Daniel 8. It will anger the West, who in turn will confront Persia with blunt force "crossing the whole earth without touching the ground." This war will occur during Trump's Presidency or shortly after. WILL TRUMP BE ELECTED A 2ND TIME IN CONTINUATION OF THIS PROPHECY? The great shaking in Jerusalem and the destruction of Islamic structures and the Temple Mount will enrage Islam, but the military will defeat Iran speedily. Nonetheless, the realities of world conflict will rise with this decisive victory. American and Europe will face unforeseen calamities, cutting edge military strategies of enemies and overpowering global forces involving Russia that will bring nations to their knees. World War 3 will be decisive, swift and large-scale.

The physical world correlates turmoil in the unseen world. This planet shadows the supernatural conflict between Satan and his army and Messiah and His army, good verses evil, as the crisis explodes across the globe. Satan and all who do his bidding in this world will do all they can to kill, steal and destroy, and in doing so make the world ready for a savior--the Antichrist and his rise to global dominion.

Here is the stark reality. No one man alone can save America; it has been an unrepentant nation whose citizens have for decades killed millions of babies from border to border, and today produces pornography, condones homosexuality, celebrates gay marriage and is morally and financially bankrupt. The world at large is held under Satan's temporary domination and control, and indulges in all these sins and countless more. The planet will descend into the final-days chaos and tribulation after the Jerusalem disaster, as foretold in the Hebrew visions. Only the KING of Kings, and LORD of Lords can intervene to save a planet of 7.5 billion souls groaning under the weight of sin. Jesus-Yeshua is our only hope. Until that Day, the prophetic door of prophecy will open as the ground itself opens, and will never close again. Mayhem and crisis will crescendo with lightning speed, globally. This is what prophecy has forewarned of for over two thousand years in the books of Daniel and Revelation and the other Hebrew prophecies. National and international division will increase exponentially, tearing apart the fabric of our societies and killing untold men, women and children.

Here's How the Prophecies Describe Past & Current World Leaders, Wars & Disasters

On January 8, 2017 (on the Jewish/Biblical Asara B'Tevet--the Fast of the 10th Month referred to in Zechariah 8:19), Iran's fourth President--Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Persia’s wealthiest leader of modern times whose rule was foretold in Bible prophecy (Daniel 11:2), died by heart attack at age 82. Why is this important? Because his rise to power in Iran would be a forerunner to another "mighty" leader who would then ascend to power and "do as he pleases."

Rafsanjani fulfilled his role as prophecy foretold through his wealth and decades of power by stirring up sentiment against Western powers. This “stirring” can be found in his involvement in the Iranian revolution that would bring radical mullahs to power in Persia, and his public statements against the West and Israel; but most importantly, his wealth and influence led to the initiation of Iran’s nuclear weapons program in the 1980’s. The nuclear program is the nucleus of Iran’s modern-day brazenness, which has played out time and again in Iran's continuous threats and involvement in state-sponsored terrorism against Israel and other Middle Eastern Sunni nations, as well as the bombing of the Jewish center in Argentina in 1994, which Rafsanjani personally oversaw.

In 2001, Iran’s 4th President--Hashemi Rafsanjani called the existence of Israel an ugly, colonialist phenomenon and said that nuclear war could destroy everything on the ground in Israel but would merely damage the world of Islam. Rafsanjani’s statement was an indirect appeal to turn Iran into a suicide bomb against Israel. Ever since then, Iran has been devoting itself to building nuclear facilities.

Below is a chart of Iran's elected officials since the 1979 Revolution that shifted Iranian leadership from monarchs to elected Presidents, showing Rafsanjani to be Iran's 4th President. Now, let's look at the Biblical evidence, with commentary. Daniel 11:2-4 prophesies: “Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will arise in Persia [modern-day Iran -- (1) President Banisadr; (2) President Rajar and (3) President Khamenei]; and, then a fourth [(4) President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani], who will be far richer than all the others [exactly as foretold... he was featured in the Forbes Magazine, because of his substantial wealth]. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece [Hebrew: "Javan"--interpreted as Greece/Western powers]."

As shown, not only did Iran's end-time political transition produce a "4th" leader--Rafsanjani, but also he indeed was one of the "wealthiest men" in Persia, just as the 2,500-year-old Daniel prediction said he would be. Furthermore, as a renowned Islamic mullah he also "stirred up" Islam against the West by his revolutionary acts, his bold proclamations in support of Iranian ideology and his nuclear program. However, Rafsanjani died on January 8, 2017, and was buried on January 10, 2017. It's obvious now, Rafsanjani will not be personally involved in the upcoming Iran vs. West conflict, which war will occur just prior to America's demise. Nonetheless, his position as the "fourth" President, his "wealth" and his national "stirrings" against the West have clearly fulfill the prophecy during his lifetime.

The next verse in the Daniel 11 prophecy continues, with commentary added: “Then a mighty king will arise [Donald Trump--his inauguration was January 20, 2017, exactly ten days after Rafsanjani's burial], who will rule with great power and do as he pleases [President Trump is indeed a man who is charting his own course and doing as he pleases, against almost all norms]. After he has arisen [taken office], his empire [America] will be broken up [superpower destroyed, likely due to nuclear exchange/holocaust, natural calamities, economic collapse, pandemics, rioting and social disorder, etc.] and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven." In this regard, Donald Trump is the prophetic signal that the U.S. may be posed to lose its superpower status with the sudden collapse of America. It may occur during or just following his Presidency (a 2nd term may be possible in the future), which power will then be divided/dispersed to other nations... to the "four winds" around the globe.

The prophecy ends, "It [the American empire] will not go to his [Trump's] descendants [family members; children--Donald Jr. or Ivanka], nor will it have the power he exercised, because his [American] empire will be uprooted and given to others [the United Nations -- New World Order]."

What Other Prophecies Speak to America’s Downfall?

Three distinct prophecies in the book of Daniel repeat this pattern of America's demise (Daniel 7:2-4; Daniel 8:5-8; Daniel 11:3-4). A "do as he pleases" political figure comes into power; America angrily and successfully attacks Iran (due to Iran's bad behavior); after which, America's power is dispersed to the four corners of the earth... to the "four winds". It's important to note the "four winds" references in the prophecies. This dispersion of power repeats in the prophecies, which ties Daniel's three visions together.

The first reference we've covered already, pointing out the rise of Donald Trump after Rafsanjani's death and America's demise to follow; now, let's consider the second vision in Daniel 7:2-4: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea [of nations]. Four great [political] beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea [of nations]. The first was like a lion [Great Britain], and it had the wings of an eagle [America]. I watched until its wings were torn off [America’s downfall as the world’s superpower] and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it [indicating the rise of the False Prophet from the West; possibly from Britain itself].”

The third prophecy is found in Daniel 8:5-8; 17-22 and is clearly connected to the Daniel 11:3-4 vision, which points to Middle-East conflicts involving Iraq, followed by Iran, and a notable horn--America who confronts Iran as the time of the end begins: “As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat [NATO Western powers] with a prominent horn [America] between its eyes came from the West, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground [with military speed and agility, from a great distance]. It came toward the two-horned [Iraq & Iran, Islamic] ram I had seen standing beside the canal [in the province of Elam (v. 2) —modern-day Iran, at the Persian Gulf] and charged at it in great rage. I saw it [NATO Western Powers] attack the [Islamic] ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering its two horns [destroying Iraq, followed by Iran—the larger horn; Daniel 8:3]. The [Islamic] ram was powerless to stand against it; the [NATO Western] goat knocked it to the ground and trampled on it, and none could rescue the [Islamic] ram from its power." As with Iraq's defeat during the Gulf War of years 2003-2011, Iran's defeat is also assured.

The prophecy continues, "The [NATO Western] goat became very great, but at the height of its power [the West's power before its demise] the large horn [America] was broken off, and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven [America’s power diminishes, and is dispersed around the globe].

And, when does this vision meet its fulfillment? Daniel 8:17-18 clarifies, “I was terrified and fell prostrate. “Son of man,” he said to me [Daniel], “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end." Again, he repeats for emphasis, “I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end. The two-horned [Islamic] ram that you saw represents the kings of Media [Iraq] and Persia [Iran]. The shaggy goat is the king[dom] of Greece [Hebrew: "Javan"—Greece/NATO Western powers] and the large horn between its eyes is the first king [most powerful, America]. The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off [America] represent four [dispersed regions, worldwide] kingdoms [of the United Nations] that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power."

Was There Meaning to Rafsanjani's Death on the Biblical Fast of the Tenth Month (Tevet)—Asara B’Tevet?

The annual fast of Asara B'Tevet (the fast of the 10th month -- Zechariah 8:19) commemorates the siege of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in the 10th day of the 10th Jewish month of Tevet in 587 BC—that ultimately culminated in the destruction of Solomon's Temple (the First Temple) in 586 BC, and the conquest of the Kingdom of Judah (today's central Israel). The significance of Rafsanjani's death on the Tenth of Tevet may be symbolic in two ways:

First, the fast is a remembrance of Babylon's (modern-day Iraq) siege of Jerusalem. In 587/586 BC, Babylon was Israel's most powerful and dangerous enemy. Soon thereafter, King Nebuchadnezzar died, and his Babylonian empire fell to Persia (modern-day Iran). The Persian King Cyrus then allowed the rebuilding of Jerusalem, along with the Second Temple. Today, Iran is Israel's most powerful and dangerous enemy (primarily due to its nuclear weapons program, which Rafsanjani initiated); in the same manner, the death of the modern-day powerful Rafsanjani may indicate the upcoming demise of Iran and its nuclear program, and the disbursement of Persia's wealth; followed by, the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the Third Temple.

Second, the death of the wealthy Rafsanjani finalizes the Daniel 11:2 prophecy, which sets the stage for the events of verses 3-4. These verses prophesy the rise of another very wealthy leader (Donald Trump)—the man who will “rule with great power and do as he pleases." Like Nebuchadnessar who raised up a statue of his power, Trump also built Trump Towers to accentuate his success. His crescendo to great power, followed by the ultimate ruin of America after America stomps on Iran with speed and finality, harps on history repeating itself. Therefore, since Donald Trump is the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy, his Presidency will signal the upcoming attack on Iran leading further to the turmoil of World War 3, and with it the destruction of Jerusalem, the collapse of the Temple Mount and its structures, the rise of Antichrist, the rebuilding of Jerusalem (and its Third and final Temple on the Temple Mount), followed by the entrance of the Man of Sin into Jerusalem, followed immediately by the Great Tribulation with Jerusalem's complete and utter demise—as foretold in Luke 21:20-22 and Daniel 9:26, and the return of Yeshua--our Messiah! All of this in about a three and one-half year period. In reality, Trump met his prophetic role as God's final appointed times of the end come into focus.
